This fully automated nut resistance spot welding workstation is an unmanned welding unit centered around a Yaskawa handling robot, integrating magnetic automatic material handling, high-precision centering and positioning, automatic nut feeding, resistance spot welding, and automatic finished product stacking.

The system employs PLC+HMI centralized control, supporting rapid changeover for various types of door panel reinforcement ribs and similar sheet metal parts. Through the robot's highly flexible movements and the coordination of the welding machine's digital parameters, stable, low-spatter nut projection welding can be achieved at multiple preset positions on the workpiece, resulting in full weld nuggets and excellent consistency in tensile strength.

The entire line requires only one person for inspection, and can replace 2-3 operators per shift, significantly reducing labor costs. Simultaneously, the centering platform ensures a repeatability accuracy of ±0.1mm, and the automatic nut feeding mechanism ensures accurate welding position, eliminating missed welds and off-center welds. The equipment features self-diagnosis and safety protection functions, is easy to maintain, and can operate continuously for 24 hours.

[ Intelligent Material Picking ]  The Yaskawa handling robot integrates a highly reliable magnetic suction device at its end effector, accurately picking up door panel reinforcing ribs one by one from the hopper, adapting to various workpiece specifications.

[ High-Precision Alignment ] The robot transfers the workpiece to a dedicated alignment table. Through a mechanical + pneumatic positioning mechanism, the positional accuracy of each workpiece is ensured to be within ±0.1mm, laying the foundation for subsequent welding quality.

[ Precise Material Loading ] After alignment, the robot again magnetically picks up the workpiece and smoothly places it at the working station of the nut resistance spot welding machine.

[ Automatic Nut Feeding + Multi-Position Spot Welding ] The nut resistance spot welding machine is equipped with a vibratory feeder and an automatic conveying system, which delivers nuts in an orderly manner according to the program. A robot, in conjunction with the welding machine, sequentially performs resistance spot welding at multiple preset positions on the workpiece. Welding parameters (current, time, pressure) can be digitally set, resulting in excellent weld consistency.

[ Automatic Palletizing ] Finished nuts after resistance spot welding are automatically magnetically picked up by a handling robot and neatly stacked onto a material pallet according to a set arrangement, directly connecting to the next process or warehousing.
